![]() ![]() I didn't watch the whole video but he's probably just separating the stereo instrumental into various parts of the frequency spectrum, calling those "stems", tweaking/mixing them differently, and then putting them back together. Created for DJs, music producers and remix artists, Xtrax Stems allows users to separate any song. Powered by brand new algorithms based on artificial intelligence, Xtrax Stems 2 offers faster, cleaner stem separations, backing tracks and a cappellas at the same low price. And he's most likely not even separating the song into traditional stems like "drums" "guitar" "piano". It functions as a Standalone Application. He's basically performing surgery on a completed instrumental to see if he can squeeze some life into a dull mix as a demonstration of his skill, probably not as something that will ever be released or listen to. I doubt they say anywhere in the video that this something people should be doing often or really ever. ![]() And the whole purpose of the video is to challenge a master to make the best of bad source material using his grammy-winning expertise and years of experience. ![]() ![]() What part of that 1 hour long video are you referring to? I don't have time to watch the whole thing to see what you're talking about.Įdit: because the first thing they say around 2 minutes is that the vocals are already separate (which makes everything much easier) and that he's only attempting to get the stems out of a stereo instrumental. ![]()
